Revised records management code of practice
The National Archives has been leading a review and revision of the records management code of practice, issued in November 2002 under section 46 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Consultation on the revised code of practice opened on 10 June 2008. The closing date for responses is 2 September 2008.

Consultation on the revised code follows a review of the 2002 code of practice during 2007. A report on that review was published in July 2007. You can also read the comments and suggestions received during the review, redacted to remove the names of contributors.
