Gay and Lesbian Archive Links Online
Welcome to Out there - a partnership project between The London Metropolitan Archives and The National Archives. This new portal is aimed at helping researchers identify archive resources for the study of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) history.
The portal provides links to participating centres. At this stage, the entries cover a small group of archives with significant collections. We will continue to include more archives and institutions from across the UK.
The information given here cannot be comprehensive. The aim is to highlight major collections held in publicly accessible archives in England and Wales and to make links to archive websites covering Scotland and Northern Ireland where available.
