Blood, Thunder and High Society: The Strickland Constables of Wassand Hall

Blood, Thunder and High Society is a project to create detailed catalogues of two large collections of records of the Strickland - Constable family and of Wassand Hall.

They contain significant items for the study of naval and maritime history, women's history, the home front during wartime, London society in Victorian England and country house studies. A major exhibition will take place to help raise further awareness and create new audiences for local archive resources, and using the digital content, educational learning packs will be created to use in schools.
