Led by the Museum of English Rural Life
(MERL), the project will catalogue archives of Wallis and Stevens, International Harvester and Massey, and will preserve and digitise Wallis and Stevens glass negatives held by Road Locomotive Society
.
Museum volunteers will be offered cataloguing and basic conservation skills, and opportunities will exist for steam and agricultural machinery enthusiasts to engage with the archive heritage at MERL. A travelling exhibition will tour steam fairs/country shows and workshops will be held at MERL to benefit new audiences. An online exhibition will be created on the MERL and Road Locomotive Society website.
