Watching the Birdie on Harrow Hill

Funded by the John Lyon’s Charity, Watching the Birdie on Harrow Hill is a project to conserve the Hills and Saunders photographic collection, by scanning the documents and images and providing wider public access to them through a website. The majority of the collection consists of glass plate negatives, dating from around 1870 to 1970. A large proportion of the images relate to school activities but there are also some depicting local views, school and church buildings, local people, and social events such as weddings and pageants.
