Exhibitions

Many of the Archives 4 All projects are using the collections to create exhibitions to promote their work. Over the coming year these exhibitions will become parts of festivals and events and will tour different areas of the country.

In February 2008 the queerupnorth exhibition will tour Manchester's local libraries and community centres as part of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) History Month. The exhibition will also form part of the queerupnorth festival in May 2008. Similarly 1967 and all that will create a travelling exhibition using the collections to tell the story of the campaign for decrimilisation. The exhibition will visit non-heritage locations and events such as Pride, London LGBT film festival and public libraries.

The project Blood, Thunder and High Society plans to create a major exhibition to be held at the opening at Wassand Hall during summer 2007 and in the Treasure House from October 2007- March 2008.

Other projects, such as Mauretania: Pride of the Tyne, Steam and Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Access Project, Cotton Threads, Buried Battles and Veterans Voices, Frodsham Local History, Access Hampshire Heritage and Explore North Devon will all have travelling exhibitions.
