Buried Battles and Veteran Voices: Records and reminiscences of the Queen's Royal Surrey Regiment

The project Buried Battles and Veteran Voices is led by Surrey History CentreExternal website - Link opens in a new window. The aim of the project is to enhance a large collection of regimental records through full archival cataloguing. Memories of surviving veterans of the regiment are being recorded and made accessible to add depth and a personal dimension to the written and pictorial records. Interviews focus not only on the Second World War but also operations including Palestine (1946), the Berlin Airlift (1949), Malaya (1950s) and Aden (1964).
