Alison Webster receives award

25 November 2004

Alison Webster, Head of Online Content and Partnership Development, accepted the Internet Crystal Award from the Plain English Campaign for our newly designed website at the recent Catalogue Awareness Day. The National Archives' website, launched in June, is one of only a handful of Central Government departments which has been awarded this prestigious accreditation.

In presenting the award, John Wild from the Plain English Campaign declared The National Archives' website to be one of the best the Campaign had ever accredited. He praised the website´s ease of use, clarity of design, excellent hints for new users and of course plain English!
