Update on document authenticity

Seven files have been found to contain forged documents and withdrawn from public access. In addition a number of other files have also been withdrawn to use for comparative purposes during the forensic testing. However, they are all available in a digital format onsite at Kew.

The police are continuing with their investigations into the forged documents and The National Archives will make additional statements about the official investigation at an appropriate time.
